Hi Friends, From far and close how are you all? I know time & distance can become quite long when there is no constant interaction. Just wanted to send you all much positive energy where ever you are right now. I was just browsing through the posts so far and there is so much beautiful work happening, how are you all feeling on staying on top of this project? Would love to see books start getting passed around and worked on.
You are all my inspiration. Let's stay motivated and keep going. What do you say?

so i have my first moly in a while done..I have problems with my email and am not sure if i have other ones linked to this blog......but I have signed in with my google address and am wishing to receive emails there for now. I also wanted to know who I send my moly to and whos moly I can get next!! Im very excited for this group and want to see these Alice remakes finished...
I decided to make my Alice story with a twist....she returns and finds things a little different...you are all invited to make up your own version of this alternate Alice (reality). in this one the rabbit as taken over and is considered a god by the timepieces. I dont know where it is going...i leave that up to the next artist...

I wanted to do a Acrylic painting in the Emma's book, but working with Pitt pens I could use some time on the return trip back to Brazil from Minneapolis to start the work.
I Will send it tomorrow to Benjamin and soon send my book too.

Hi everyone, just an update to post my progress i decided to finished this drawing i made a few months ago it is another version of the queen, hope you like it, I was working in her yesterday till 2am and today she comes with me at work to get her shiny red hair, i hope i could finished it this weekend :D I feel so happy with my molys again!

Hey guys!! I wanted to see if you guys were still working on your books and would love to get back into the cycle. I have been out of it for a few months, (moved around), but now I am settled and wanting to start a book and get it into circulation. my computer is acting weird, but i am gonna get started on a book!!!!

I am thrilled that moly_x will be exhibiting at Minnesota Center of Book Arts (MCBA), between mid-January through March 2011. It's coming up! This is a great venue, and this exhibit could mean some wonderful opportunities for other exhibitions around the country, and possible grants. This is a very receptive community.

I would like a few of these great books from this group. These books do not have to be completed. If you have a book right now, would you consider sending it to me. It will be out of circulation through March, but it will get some wonderful attention. I will guarantee it's safe return, or delivery to the next artist on the list.

MCBA does a great job of documenting their shows, so you will have a nice record. Whoever is in the book may add another credit to her/his resumé. We will continue to look for other similar venues for moly_x exhibitions. There are many book art institutions like this around the country, and there are many university book arts, and illustration programs.

I have dreamed of this exhibit since we started this little project.

Hi Beautiful People,
I have finally finished my wonderland book, I am calling it the 'red rabbit', I decided to do a twist to the wonderland story and instead of white using a red rabbit instead, I also have a grown up girl and a little boy which you can't see yet. Szaza please get in touch with me where I should send you my book. My scanner has had problems and there is another part of this drawing that is missing, thus it will be a surprise to all as it goes round and round. I will try to take a picture of the whole drawing before sending it out... maybe. I wanted to just show you guys that I am ready to GO and Exicted to finally get this group going! Hope you are all ready too & that you have had a lovely summer so far.

Thank you All for being a part of this wonderful party! (Feel free to start as soon as possible, we are a nice size group and can fill up each others japanese moleskines nicely if we all use up to 3- 4 pages each). WelcomE to Wonderland¡!¡! If you are reading this, it is because YOUuuuuuu have just been invited to participate in a wonderful adventure through the nonsense land of a bunch of wacky non~logical artists brains, in order to join you must accept our Invitation for Tea or Fleas if you prefer. We ask that all art should revolve around the theme of Alice in Wonderland, ¥ou can make up your own variation and have fun most of all! We also ask that you start on the second or third page of your book to have your Art interact with that of the other artists. It will be also very very very good if you leave any riddles, magic passwords, puzzles or non-logical tiny little who knows what! on the back of your book as a surprise for the next artist who receives your book. any questions or queries should be sent handwritten, placed in a glass bottle capped with a cork, tied to the back of a snail who should be asked politely to head over to our home in Italic Road, where it will be greeted with cheer and tea, after tea, we will go over all polite formalities, read your message and take a nap on it.

Moly_x_55, founded by INKNJOY (USA), is an extension of the Moleskine Exchange. This blog will follow the adventure of a group of artists around the world, in a Japanese fold Moleskine sketchbook exchange. Our current group includes the artists listed to the right, including contributors in many different countries all over the world.

Each artist will set off with a small Japanese (accordian) folded Moleskine. Creating a drawing, collage, or painting, then send on to the next artist. Each artist will draw on a couple of spreads (3-4 pages) then send it on to the next artist. When the artists book is filled, it will be returned to the owner with images created by artist around the world. Each artist has a month (give or take) to make an entry. The outcome will be a pleasant and surprising adventure, as artists are encouraged to interact and merge their art with others.

The concept:

1. The artists start with the Japanese fold Moleskine - Name, address, email address written in book.

2. Each artist gets 1 month (give or take) to make a sketchbook entry, and mail it to the next person. The order is listed to the right -- for participants in this exchange, look at the list of names under MAILING ORDER. If you ever need to update addresses, please feel free to contact your partners directly! An important part of this project is to discuss and exchange information and ideas.

3. Each artist will do 3-4 pages each round.

4. Artists are encouraged to interact with other images in the book. Please be respectful, but also don't hesitate to meld your art with earlier entries.

5. When the book is full, when one side of the unfolded book is filled, the book will be sent back to its original owner. That artist may continue by buying a new book and sending it to the next person.

6. If a person decides not to continue, she will simply keep her book when it comes back to her. She should email all of the participants to say she is not going to continue. We will decide, then, if we want to find a new person.

7. Please communicate regularly via email. Let each person know that you have received/sent the book. The goal is to have a dialogue. Any comments and questions are welcome.
